En un acto cumplido en Nuevo Berl\u00edn, el fil\u00e1ntropo, multimillonario estadounidense, Gilbert Butler, procedi\u00f3 a la donaci\u00f3n de tres islas al estado uruguayo. Las mismas pasan a integrar el SNAP, Sistema Nacional de Areas Protegidas, aumentando el n\u00famero y territorio de 18 a 36 islas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luego del acto se firm\u00f3 un memor\u00e1ndum de entendimiento entre las partes, para asegurar el avance del proyecto binacional de ecoturismo, a desarrollarse por la asociaci\u00f3n civil Amba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La ceremonia cont\u00f3 con la presencia del presidente de la rep\u00fablica, Yamandu Orsi, Ministro de Turismo, Pablo Menoni y Ministro de Ambiente, Edgardo Ortu\u00f1o, junto a ellos estuvieron presentes, Intendente de R\u00edo Negro, Guillermo Levratto y los alcaldes de Nuevo Berl\u00edn, Hern\u00e1n Godoy y de San Javier, Washington Laco, entre otras autoridades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
